What data we collect

CoverCraft AI is designed to minimize data collection. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the service.

When you generate a cover letter, the job description and background information you enter are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. This data is transmitted securely and is not stored on our servers.

How credits work

Your credit balance is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. We do not store your credit balance on any server. This means credits are tied to your browser — clearing your browser data will reset your credit count.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment information. When you purchase credits, Stripe handles the transaction and we receive a confirmation. Your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

OpenAI data processing

The text you submit (job descriptions and your background) is sent to OpenAI for cover letter generation. OpenAI's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy. We recommend not including sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for generating your cover letter.

Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. We use localStorage for credit storage only.
